Sextante installation in ArcGIS 10

1 – Go to Sextante GIS project (http://sextante.forge.osor.eu/) and download the Sextante install pack.

2 – After you download the file, unpack sextante_arcgis.zip in the folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\java\lib\ext

3- Install ArcDesktop Java SDK located in  ArcGIS 10 DVD:

End Install:

4 – Run the  program JavaConfigTool located in ArcGIS 10 install folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\bin

5 – In JavaConfigTool window, check the options “Enable Java Interop logging” and “Create console window for ArcGIS applications (ArcMap/ArcCatalog)“. Press OK button:

6 – Run ArcMap 10. For now, a MS-DOS window will be run together ArcMap 10. Minimize this window:

7 – In the menu Geoprocessing – Geoprocessing Options, you must disable ArcGIS 10 Background  Processing:

8 – Now we have to add Sextante in ArcToolBox. Open ArcToolBox (1) and press the right button under ArcToolbox folder to select the option Add ToolBox (2):

9 – Search by SEXTANTE toolbox in this place:

C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\java\lib\ext

Well Done! Now we have Sextante in ArcMap 10:

I will run sextante bounding box vector algorithm in arcMap 10:
